The setting fades into a gym. You can see many people working out and hear the sound of metal meeting metal and the clanking of workout machines throughout the gym. The camera walks throughout the place. It seems they are searching for a particular person. The camera comes close to a man who's back is turned to the camera he is pulling weights in with his arms as the meet within the center and then they draw back and then again he pulls them to the center and then back once more.
He stops as he feels someone watching him. That someone is a man holding a camera. The man sitting at the machine lets go of the two handles that he was holding onto and the weights drop all the way down and make a clank at the back of the machine. The guy gets up and arches his back and stretches. You can hear the subtle sound of his back cracking. He grabs a water bottle that sits on a chair next to where he is standing and he twists off the white cap that is placed on it and he starts to drink the water out of the bottle as he turns around to see a camera looking upon him.
The man is none other than Jericho. You can see the look in his eyes.. He's been at it for a few hours. Working out and getting in top form for his match coming up in ICW. He is still drinking the water. You can see the moisture forming on the outside of the bottle building up and slowly falling down the side of the bottle. Slowly and gradually making it's way down the ribbed side until resting at the bottom and then eventually falling to it's demise on the gym floor. Jericho drinks all of the water from the bottle and then he walks over to the trash can and he throws the bottle into the trash can. He faces the camera and he looks at it with a purpose in his face and eyes. He sits down and begins to speak as he looks into the camera.
Jericho: This is it.. This is my time in the spotlight coming up and I won't ruin it. I face some guy that goes by the name Malik Johnson with the deemed nickname "The hitman". Well Malik, the only thing you'll be hitting with me in that ring is the solid ground that will be coming up behind you fairly quickly as your in the air getting ready to meet your fate.
The thing is Malik, I don't fall off my game very easily and in fact it's a rare thing to see coming from me. I don't miss a beat and you'll soon see it. Now I don't know anything about you and for all I know, you could be a challenge. If you are, I welcome such a thing because these days, it's not an easy thing to find with every new guy thinking he's going to become the next big thing to hit the ring.
Jericho stands up and collects his gym back by his feet. He begins to walk from the towards the gym doors. He gives a goodbye nod to the person at the front desk of the gym and then he walks out. He comes to his car which is a small black sports car. He opens the door, throws the gym bag into the passenger seat and then hops into the car. He then continues ranting about his matchup this week.
Jericho: I am a little surprised I haven't heard from you yet Malik.. I really was expecting a fight in you. I was hoping to see some flare from someone that calls theirself "The hitman". I think before you should be allowed to call yourself something, you've got to prove you can actually take someone out of the picture first. You know, prove that you are indeed worthy of being called "The hitman".
Would you like that to be true Malik? Surely you can't believe that you deserve that title without proving such a thing right? I would like you to show me what you've got. Show me that your not just another average joe trying to put on a show, but have no fire behind the words you say. Show me some fire Malik.. Show me that you are not average, because I am not looking to face just the average everyday wrestler. I need a challenge. Can you answer that challenge Malik? I guess we'll find out when it comes down to Monday's Karnage. Don't disappoint me Malik.. Don't disappoint.
Jericho starts up his car and he revs up the engine. You can hear the roar of the engine. It's very loud and you can barely hear yourself think. Jericho starts to pull out of his parking space as the camera fades to a closing.. for now..
