The scene fades in as we see an emptied out gym. No one can be seen in sight what so ever. The lights are on but no one seems home here. The camera pans over towards the windows and all you can see is the dark and cold snowy hell of the outside. You can see a gentle snowfall through the beams of light illuminating down from a street light just in the line of vision in the distance. The snow falls to it's poetic demise to the ground. The glass windows are so clean that you could swear the there was no window pane there if it wasn't for the words "Jim City Gymnasium" that was painted onto the window with a cartoonish picture of a man working out painted next to the words. You can hear the sound of someone hard at work inside of the gym, but where.. You don't see anything in the main workout station located in the front room. The camera draws closer towards the back of the room where the sound is coming from.
The camera comes to a door that is cracked open. The door slowly but gradually opens with an old creaking sound signifying the door may need oiled at it's hinges. From inside the room, you can see a wrestling ring, but no one in it. No one is in view of the camera, but you can hear the impact of fists hitting something still off a little ways in the distance. The camera continues to draw closer, focusing on the distinct direction that the sound is coming from. The camera pans around the corner of the ring and peers right into a workout station located in one of the corners of the room. You can see none other than Jericho working out intensely. He is training his punches and kicks with one of the many weight bags coming from the cieling, dangling from a steel chain. The light red colored bag is taking quite the beating from left and rights from Jericho followed by some furious kicks that send the bag swaying aggressively back and fourth. Jericho notices the camera out of the corner of his eye. He momentarily stops his training and he takes full attention towards it.
Jericho walks over a few steps to his dark red gym bag sitting next to a steel chair. He sits down in the chair and his body can feel the nice cold temperature of the chair and the coldness creeps into his body and helps refresh him. He emerges into his bag with his hand and he pulls out a grey towel. He dries the sweat from his face and his chest and then he throws it on top of his bag. He then starts addressing the camera...
Jericho - Looks like a challenge may have finally been met with the fight coming from Mike Shockly. You know, I am quite surprised that he had something more to say than the rest of the average joes in the back. He shows some promise in our bridge match this week. I can't say that I am looking forward to it because what sick son of a bitch is really looking forward to what could possibly be a career ending match. I think someone may have it out for me.. I mean being placed in death defying matches every week? Come on, give me something more to break my ass for.. I've listened to the words you had to run from your mouth Mike. I find the words hilarious. Particularly the beginning when you say that you could've picked anyone.. That you essentially didn't care whom it was. I beg to differ Mike. I think you knew exactly who you were targeting. Why go after Malik or the other nameless guys in the back?
Why go for average when you could have the prime rib? Yeah you made your presence known but hell an eighty year old man could've knocked me and Malik over after a match like that and made some kind of impact. You seriously think that you shocked everyone by taking out two defenseless men who just went through hell and couldn't throw another punch.. You call that a great attack? Who cares what things you did back in the day.. This isn't back in the day. This is the present Mike and maybe you should try focusing on the now and not yesterdays world. Who cares what you were.. We all have seen gold at one point or another. It doesn't make you the better man right here and now Mike..
Jericho pauses for a moment to go into his gym bag and he pulls out a bottle of water. He opens the lid and he starts gulping down some much needed cold water. You can see the wet precipitation that has formed on the bottle. Bubbles flow to the top of the water as he drinks it down. He ends up drinking down the whole bottle and he throws the emptied bottle into his back. He looks more refreshed and ready to get back to his training but he spends a few more moments resting up. It looks as if he may have been training for awhile to get ready for his match this week. He sits there and goes on in his words...
Jericho - I don't care whether you think you are insane or what. That doesn't matter to me and niether does the pain that courses through my body. When I am in wrestling mode.. Pain, cares, worries... anything.. It all goes away and I just do what I have to do. You see Mike, you can't break me and you won't. You'll realize that when you flying off a bridge and on your way down, you'll look up at me just smiling down upon you. You'll then realize that you've got something more on your hands.. Something that is much different from old ICW. This is the new age Mike and sometimes, the old age needs a wake up call.. Allow me to be the alarm that wakes you from your dream..
You talk about Cory Syx. I haven't faced Cory Syx yet but he has amateur ways.. I've seen him wrestle and I can't imagine that you both took on anything worth while with much success. Shawn Ablaze? I don't know that name, but if he was one on your side, he wasn't a very smart man. So am I ready to take it to another step? Ofcourse.. I am always the one that does take it further. I can see that you feel you should be the poster boy for ICW.. Well, go ahead. I don't claim to be a poster boy.. I just get the job done.. and come Karnage this week, there is no doubt about it.. I am going to get the job done Mike.
With those words, Jericho stands back up and with those words, the scene fades to a close.
